IOM completes the sale of our asbestos surveying division

Rob Aitken (pictured right), CEO of IOM, comments “This decision has been carefully considered as the Asbestos Site Services division has been a long-standing and fundamental part of IOM since 1990. During this time the division has made a vital contribution to our business whilst building a reputation for excellence, quality and service. However the marketplace has changed significantly and we believe now is the right time to hand over these services to EDP who share the same values of excellence, quality and service.

At IOM we will continue to provide other Asbestos services such as laboratory analysis, retrospective risk assessments, expert witness services, contaminated land and asbestos training services”.

EDP Managing Director, Mark Haydock (pictured left) said:  “This acquisition represents a positive step forward in EDP’s growth plans.  From a strategic point of view, it means we will strengthen our services to customers in the short- term and benefit from significant cost savings in the long-term.
