Prof Damien McElvenny
Principal Epidemiologist
Damien is an epidemiologist working in the Statistics and Toxicology Section of Research Division and is a chartered statistician and chartered scientist. He has nearly 30 years' experience working in a variety roles relating to the statistical analysis of health data in the public and private sector. Damien is an independent scientific member of the UK Industrial Injuries Advisory Council. He joined IOM in 2011 and is currently leading two projects, one on the carcinogenicity of occupational exposure to lead, the other on the carcinogenicity of work in the hard-metal manufacturing industry.
