Julian Bugler
Senior Occupational Hygienist
Julian has an MA (Hons) in Chemistry, and an MSc in Industrial Hygiene. He also holds the status of Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist and is a Chartered Member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society. He also holds the Diploma of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (Dip Occ Hyg) from the Faculty of Occupational Hygienists within the British Occupational Hygiene Society and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Julian’s career began as an industrial hygienist in 1978 specialising in the provision of services to the rubber and polyurethane foam industries. Since 1987 Julian has been a freelance occupational hygienist providing a diverse range of consultancy services in the field of occupational hygiene and environmental testing services.
From 1989 until 2013 Julian was a consultant for Morgan Finch and Partners. He is now continuing his career as an expert witness at the IOM specialising in Occupational Hygiene claims.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
Occupational asthma [including exposures to flour and grain, dust, isocyanates, anhydrides, colophony (solder) fumes, glutaraldehyde, wood dust, latex, enzymes, hard-metal, cyanoacrylates, epoxies, metal-working fluids] respiratory disease [including byssinosis, fibrosis, Farmer’s lung, EAA] occupational cancers [including bladder, lung, nasal sinuses, nasopharynx, and leukaemia] exposure to chemical hazards dermatitis.
