Professor Terry Wilkins is an engineer, scientist and innovator whose career in Leeds University, ICI and GE Healthcare has generated 9 globally innovations with high global economic and societal impact  in nanotechnology, medicine and environmental engineering.  Examples include: cancer diagnosis and closing the hole in ozone layer. His concern for human health and environmental risks is born of personal exposure to explosion hazards, radioactivity and virus-infected human serum, early in his career. It has also informed his leadership roles in UK and EU industrial research and innovation policy advice.
