IOM Move FAQs
1. When is IOM moving to Pentland Science Park, and what is the new address?
IOM’s Head Office and laboratory facilities will relocate to Douglas House, Pentland Science Park, Bush Loan, Penicuik, EH26 0PZ, United Kingdom. The move is effective from 16th January 2026. Please update your records for deliveries and correspondence accordingly. All other company details remain unchanged.
2. Will there be any disruption to services during the move?
IOM is working hard to ensure minimal disruption to operations and service delivery during the transition. This move primarily affects only the laboratory services; all other services will continue to operate as normal. Clients can continue to reach their usual contacts and send samples or materials to the new address from the move date.
3. Are there any changes to invoicing, contracts, or contact details?
Only the delivery and correspondence address is changing. All other company details, including bank details and registration numbers remain the same.
4. Why is IOM relocating, and what are the benefits for clients?
The move represents a major investment in IOM’s future, enabling modernisation of facilities, expansion of scientific capabilities, and enhanced collaboration within a thriving scientific community. This will help IOM continue to deliver high-quality, innovative services, building on the last 50 years and into the future.
5. Will laboratory sample submission procedures change?
From 16th January 2026, all samples and materials should be sent to the new address at Pentland Science Park. Detailed instructions will be provided to clients as part of the transition communications.
6. Are there any changes to IOM’s laboratory capabilities or accreditations?
The relocation is designed to enhance IOM’s laboratory capabilities. All accreditations and quality standards will be maintained or improved as part of the move.
