Mineralogy Laboratory Re-accredited by UKAS at Pentland Science Park
We are delighted to announce that IOM’s Pentland Science Park mineralogy laboratory has been re‑accredited by UKAS for all analyses previously carried out under UKAS accreditation at our Riccarton site.
The mineralogy laboratory delivers a comprehensive range of services, including gravimetric analysis, XRD, FTIR and the analysis of asbestos and other fibres using optical microscopy and SEM. These capabilities support risk assessment, regulatory compliance and enable evidence-based decision making.
Our laboratory continues to meet the highest standards of technical competence and quality. It i and is a testament to the expertise of Steve Clark, IOM’s Head of Mineralogy, and his team, who play a vital role in supporting organisations across the UK to protect workers and improve workplace environments.
IOM’s other laboratories are mid-way through the re-verification process, and we anticipate good news shortly. All customers will be kept up to date as the process continues.
