Jane Tierney

Senior Consultant and Asbestos Specialist

Jane holds a BSc in Biochemistry from University College Dublin and the Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA).

She has individual membership of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and the  Society of Brownfield Risk Assessment (SoBRA) and is a Licentiate of the Faculty of Asbestos Management (LFAAM).

Jane has worked full time as an asbestos consultant for almost 30 years during which time she has undertaken asbestos surveying, air monitoring, project management of asbestos remediation works and occupied the roles of both quality and technical manager.

She is also involved with undertaking risk assessments for past exposures and asbestos in soils.

Jane has been undertaking asbestos awareness training (and more recently for asbestos in soils) for around 20 years.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Asbestos risk assessments, asbestos diseases including asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer, breaches of statutory duty (Control of Asbestos Regulations) and asbestos in soils and made ground.
