Research and Service Development Scientist

Matt Brown is a Research and Service Development Scientist in IOM’s Science Insights & Influence team. He has over 10 years experience across exposure science, inhalation toxicology, study delivery, safety science, technical operations and scientific communication.

Matt’s work focuses on understanding real-world exposure scenarios and translating scientific evidence into practical insights for research, consultancy and service development. His background includes the design and delivery of simulated-use exposure studies, aerosol measurement approaches, evidence interpretation, stakeholder engagement and work within GLP and pharmacovigilance environments.

His research interests include emerging technologies and the unexpected exposure risks they may create, indoor air quality, inhalation exposure assessment, consumer behaviour and psychology, and the role of human behaviour in shaping environmental and occupational health risks.
