Asbestos awareness training
Supporting your staff to manage asbestos risks
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (2012) requires anyone who may come into contact with asbestos containing materials (ACMs) through their work to receive awareness training. Such persons may include, but are not limited to general maintenance staff, computing engineers, heating and ventilation engineers, fire and security alarm installers.
IOM can provide IATP (Independent Asbestos Training Providers) asbestos awareness training either in your workplace, or at one of our UK offices. The programme lasts up to three hours and covers topics such as properties of asbestos, asbestos containing materials, exposure prevention, management surveys and safe working practices.
We can also offer UKATA accredited training for Asbestos in Soils - a one day course for Non Notifiable Licensed Works,
The courses are tailored to include your own asbestos management procedures and give ample opportunity for staff to ask questions.
To find out more about asbestos awareness training, please contact our Head Office on 0131 449 8000 and they will direct you to one of our local centres around the UK. Alternatively you can view courses and book on our Training Services section or use our contact form.
