Information regarding seams worked, outputs, methods of working, dust suppression and manpower together with the associated dust concentrations is presented in a series of face charts. At Vane Tempest Colliery^ the coal face mean respirable dust concentration was 4.2 mg/m3. The mean ash content of respirable dust sampled was 32.1 per cent and the mean quartz content 3.7 per cent, representing a concentration of O.l6.mg/m3. “”
