Pneumoconiosis Field Research: Environmental conditions at South Kirkby Colliery 1977-1980
This report tabulates the dust concentrations at South Kirkby Colliery for the period April 1977 to March 1920. Information is given on methods of working, output and manpower. Total dust concentrations are listed and those for the faces were on average, nine tines as high as the respirable dust concentration. The nitrous fiine measurements are described and the results discussed.The Colliery had a coalface mean respirable dust concentration of 3.3mg/m3 similar to 1975 and 1976. “”
