This report tabulates respirable dust concentrations and compositions at Morrison Busty Colliery for the period April, 1971 to March 1972. Information regarding seams worked, outputs, methods of working, dust suppression and manpower together with the associated dust concentrations is presented in a series of face charts. At Morrison Busty Colliery the coalface mean respirable dust concentration was 4.0 mg/m3. The mean ash content of respirable dust sampled was 25 percent and the mean quartz content 2.9 per cent, representing a concentration of 0.12 mg/m3.
