Pneumoconiosis Field Research: Environmental conditions at Fryston Colliery, 1975/76
This report tabulates respirable dust concentrations and compositions for period April 1975 to March 1976 at Fryston Colliery.As in 1974/75 dust measurements were obtained by volunteer carriers, operating the M. R. E. Gravimetric Sampler Type 113A.The colliery had a mean coalface respirable dust concentration of 2.7mg/m3. The mean ash content was 51.3 per cent, and the mean quartz content was 5.7 per cent. (Quartz concentration, 0. 16mg/m3).
