Pneumoconiosis Field Research: Environmental conditions at Fryston Colliery, 1971
This report tabulates respirable dust concentrations and compositions at Pryston Colliery for the period April, 1971 to March, 1972.The colliery had a coalface mean respirable dust.concentration of 4.0 mg/m3. The mean ash content of the respirable dust was 47.6 per cent and the mean quartz content 4.7 per cent (concentration 0.19 mg/m3)Total dust concentrations are tabulated and, on average, were seven times as high as respirable concentrations.
