NanoDetect Report Summary
The NANODETECT project contributed to the advancement of scientific know-how for solving problems within quality control in the European food industry by providing solutions for the early discovery of various types of contaminants in liquid food products. In the project, an advanced biosensor technology was applied for the development of a biosensor which combines the expertise of sensitive and specific molecular biological processes with the potency of microfluidic systems for application in liquid process streams. The developed biosensors interact with information technology tools and thus contribute to improved quality control systems within the European dairy industry as a case example.
