Environmental conditions at Deep Navigation Colliery, March 1967 to March 1968. (Gravimetric dust concentrations)

This report tabulates the dust concentrations in mg/m for the period March 1967 to March 1968, covering the Gravimetric Sampling Trial at Deep Navigation Colliery. For each occupational group, the concentration of the respirable fractionof the airborne dust is listed. Concentrations of mineral constituents of the samples are also given. Where estimates have been required, the sources of these are listed. Deep Navigation Colliery had a coalface (all shifts) mean respirable dust concentration of 7.6 mg/m3 containing 19.6 per cent of ash. The mean quartz is 0.18 mg/m3. “”
