A review of personal sampling pumps
Ten models of pmonal sampler pump have been evaluated. Details of their design and construction are discussed, and criteria of performance for an ideal sampling pump are suggested. A rationale for the test procedure is given, with reference to the ideal. Some pumps are shown to possess near-ideal performance in certain respects but in choosing a pump other factors, such as cost and weight, must be taken into consideration. Information is given in both graphical and tabular form which will assist a potential user in selecting the most appropriate pump.
