Neil Davey

Senior Occupational Hygienist

Neil has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Bradford and a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Hygiene from the University of Manchester. He also holds a number of qualifications with the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) which include Proficiency Certificate in Asbestos and Other Fibres (S301), Proficiency Certificate in Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos (P402), Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CCP Asbestos) and the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene.

He is a Member of the Faculty of Asbestos Assessment and Management (MFAAM) and a Licentiate Member of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (LFOH).

Neil has experience in recognising, evaluating, controlling and managing asbestos and chemical, physical and biological agents in the workplace; global, EU & UK health and safety legislation; regulatory inspection, investigation and enforcement; regulatory research projects; writing policies, procedures, technical standards and guidance; and training employees to global, regional and national standards.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Neil has worked full-time in the disciplines of asbestos and occupational hygiene for over 20 years as a Regional Senior Occupational Hygiene Expert for a global conglomerate, the Health & Safety Executive as a HM Specialist Inspector of Occupational Hygiene and in consultancy at senior and management level.
