The IOM is an internationally recognised centre for research, consultancy and training in the fields of occupational and environmental health and hygiene.

As a result of growth within our Healthcare Ventilation team in the Midlands we are seeking to appoint a Trainee Ventilation Technician to join our existing team based in Stone, Staffordshire.  Working alongside our experienced Consultants you will become trained and competent in providing high quality consultancy and service to our clients and help develop clients of your own.

Our team provides a wide range of services to clients including the testing of critical ventilation systems in Healthcare premises.  This involves testing in locations such as operating theatres, sterile services departments, Endoscopy suite and pharmacies. Testing includes using various types of measuring equipment to determine airflows and pressure measurements, microbiological air sampling and will involve assessing air handling units.

Based in Stone, Staffordshire, you will undertake comprehensive in-house training combined with hands on practical site experience, working under the supervision of our experienced Ventilation Consultants. You will also work towards attaining relevant ventilation qualifications which will be funded for you. No previous experience is required however previous technical experience would be advantageous.

Candidates should be enthusiastic and able to work with clients and colleagues at all levels, enjoy working as part of a team and possess excellent numerical and written communication skills.

This role will involve weekend working and travel throughout the UK, therefore you must be willing to be flexible and travel when required.  Overtime is often frequent but not guaranteed.  A full driving licence is essential.
