A new edition of the Hughes and Ferrett handbook for construction professionals and students on NEBOSH and other construction courses has been published. ‘Introduction to health and safety in construction’ (2007) has been revised in line with changes to the NEBOSH syllabus, and with new legislation including the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations 2007 , the Control of Asbestos Regulations2006 and REACH.
An HSE Research Project (R62.102) is focusing on identifying attitudinal and behavioural barriers to adopting changes in working practices amongst construction workers likely to come into contact with asbestos:
