Experienced Research Scientists
The Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM) is the UK's leading independent provider of Research and Consultancy services in occupational and environmental health, hygiene and safety. IOM has a long-standing international reputation for scientific excellence and a strong track record of business growth. Our customers include government departments, industry associations, and a wide variety of public and private sector organisations.
Our work focuses on the assessment and management of chemical hazards, physical hazards and human factors, and on the consequences for human health in the workplace and the wider environment. We already have an outstanding team of research scientists, with expertise in a variety of scientific disciplines, including occupational hygiene, ergonomics, analytical chemistry, mineralogy, immunology, statistics, toxicology, epidemiology and clinical medicine.
We are keen to build on our success, and have ambitious plans for the future. We are therefore seeking to strengthen our team by inviting applications from high calibre scientists with qualifications and relevant experience in one or more of the above scientific disciplines. Amongst the important characteristics we are seeking are a commitment to scientific excellence, good people skills and team-working ability, a strong customer service ethos, and a genuine desire to help improve human health in the workplace and the wider environment.
If you want to work in a stimulating and enterprising scientific environment, and believe you have the necessary qualities to make a lasting contribution to the important research work of the IOM, we would like to hear from you.
