Good Practice Guidance on Occupational Health Risk Assessment

The International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM) have published the Good Practice Guidance on Occupational Health Risk Assessment (HRA) as an information resource for those conducting or commissioning HRAs.

The new guidance describes the principal steps in carrying out an HRA, from identifying health hazards to assessing exposure levels and analysing the effectiveness of current control measures. The publication provides information on types of assessment, and includes check lists and guides to help managers design and implement health risk assessments

The IOM led the development of the work on behalf of ICMM and co-wrote the report with the Joint Steering Group.  The full report is available here as a free download from the ICMM web site
