Meet the Experts Thursday 20th September 2007
As part of the services we provide to our clients, the IOM periodically stages seminars on occupational and environmental health topics. These serve to provide a briefing on issues of relevance to our clients as well as enabling clients to meet and talk to a selection of our experts on an informal basis.
To mark the arrival of Dr Joanne Crawford as Senior Consultant Ergonomist the IOM is pleased to announce ‘Meet the Experts’, the latest in our series of occasional early evening seminars on occupational health issues.
The seminar will be held at IOM headquarters in Edinburgh, with tea and coffee at 4.30 pm. There will be two speakers. Dr Richard Graveling will present a brief update on the epidemiological evidence on the work-relatedness of specific musculoskeletal disorders. He will include material gathered as part of the recent IOM study for the HSE on ill-health amongst office workers. This will be followed by Dr Alan Jones who will present a talk on asbestos exposure and risk: changing knowledge and perception.
On completion of the presentations there will be an opportunity to meet other IOM staff who provide expert witness services while enjoying some food and drinks.
