IOM wins enabling contract to provide expert advice to European Parliamentary commitee
The IOM has been awarded a contract by the European Parliament to provide independent expert advice on a variety of emerging issues in the field of Health and Safety at Work to its Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Such advice will be focused on regulatory aspects and on policy implications of the Committee's work. It is designed both to strengthen the Committee’s knowledge and ability to respond to Commission proposals and to provide a solid basis for some of the Committee's own initiatives. Among others, particular attention will be paid to new forms of physical and psychosocial health risks at work by focusing on these risks as well as on the long term impact on health and their regulation at national level.
