Expansion of IOM's research
Over the last 18 months we have been expanding our team of researchers to work on a wide range of new projects. At the moment we have more than 30 active research projects, some of which are listed below:
Environmental Determinants of Public Health in Scotland (EDPHiS) for the Scottish Government
Potential risks to health from carbon nanotube fibres used in structural applications
A health, socio-economic and environmental impact assessment in connection with possible amendments to the European Carcinogens Directive for the European Commission
Collection of information about exposure to metals for the European REACH regulations for industry
Systematic review of occupational health risks for fire-fighters commissioned by the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council
Indoor Air Pollution and Health (IAPAH) for the Irish Environmental Protection Agency
We are now looking for further researchers to strengthen our team. Details of these recruitments are available on our website http://www.iom-world.org/recruitment/recruitment.php or from Dr John Cherrie, Research Director (john.cherrie@iom-world.org).
