Occupational Asthma – FREE Seminar

Many substances in the workplace can cause or aggravate asthmatic conditions.

In 2000 HSE estimated that 1500-3000 people develop occupational asthma each year and a further 4000 may have asthma made worse by their work. Although recent statistics suggest that these figures may be reducing, occupational asthma remains a significant problem which can prevent people from working.

If you want to hear what you can do to prevent exposure to known asthmagens in the workplace come to IOM's awareness evening being held at our headquarters at Riccarton, Edinburgh on 5th May - this coincides with World Asthma Day, which is organised by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) in collaboration with health care groups and asthma educators to raise awareness about asthma and improve asthma care throughout the world.
