Contaminated land training course: 27th and 28th February

Wolverhampton City Council, in partnership with IOM, Johnson Poole and Bloomer, Atkins and Stevenson Harwood will be running a two day training course in the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre on assessing risks associated with asbestos and other contaminants in soil. The training course will take a real world approach to the topic of contaminated land, using the major investigations of a large housing estate in Wolverhampton as a case study. It will cover all aspects of contaminated land including the new Part 2A Statutory Guidance on contaminated land which will come before Parliament in the New Year. It will be presented by a unique combination of local authority, consultancy and legal experts.

The IOM has unmatched expertise in assessing risks to health arising from asbestos in contaminated land. We can undertake all aspects of this work, including desk studies, sampling, quantitative analysis, exposure assessment, site specific health risk assessments and advising on SPOSH.
