Asbestos and Other Fibres - S301 British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS)

These courses follow the syllabus of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) module S301 Asbestos and Other Fibres.
The first day and a half comprise lectures covering basic topics, including:

The remainder of the course is spent working in small groups dealing with:
  • inspection of enclosures and sampling
  • fibre counting
  • fibre identification
  • Students are provided with comprehensive notes and pre-course reading.

    • Students attending this course have access to facilities at Heriot-Watt University on the south side of our site, providing en-suite B&B accommodation.
