IOM appoints new Director of Clinical Services
The IOM is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Lisa Birrell as Director of Clinical Services, based in Edinburgh. Lisa has joined us from Rolls-Royce, where she was Deputy Chief Medical Officer, a global role with responsibility for occupational health policy development throughout the Rolls Royce Group. She was previously the Head of Occupational Health for Rolls-Royce in the UK. Lisa’s previous experience includes spells at BUPA, GKN and the Institute of Occupational Health (University of Birmingham).
Lisa is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and was appointed Registrar (Deputy President) in 2007.
She has a particular interest in the management of upper limb disorders and back pain in the workplace, as well as in the wider health, work and well-being agenda.
