An IOM paper on "Occupational Exposure to Respirable Dust, Respirable Crystalline Silica and Diesel Engine Exhaust Emissions in the London Tunnelling Environment" has been published in the Annals of Occupational Hygiene.
Crossrail is a 118-kilometre railway line under construction in England. Work began in 2009 on this major European railway and infrastructure construction project. A series of measurement campaigns were undertaken to investigate exposure to respirable dust (RD), respirable crystalline silica (RCS) and diesel engine exhaust emissions (DEEE) of the workers involved in tunnel construction.
