The IOM Service
The IOM can help you to maintain good health amongst your employees by profiling the risks in your workplace, and ensuring that these risks are properly managed. When coupled with appropriate health assessments, the promotion of healthy lifestyles and the proactive management of sickness absence, these measures can significantly improve attendance and productivity.
The IOM Difference
The risks to health and safety can vary enormously from one working environment to another. Clearly, the hazards in a foundry will be very different from those in a call centre. Whatever the hazards, it is essential that the associated risks are assessed and managed appropriately. Once the risks have been evaluated and appropriate controls are in place, consideration must be given to whether there is a need for health assessments or statutory medical examinations.
The IOM has many years of experience working with employers in many different business sectors. Whether it is helping to tackle the so-called ‘modern’ workplace diseases such as stress and musculoskeletal disorders, as commonly found in the office environment, or dealing with more traditional hazards found in manufacturing, engineering and construction, the IOM can provide practical authoritative advice.
