Expert Witness
The IOM has provided expert witness evidence for many years for civil litigation cases in Scotland, England and the Republic of Ireland. Our safety specialists, ergonomists and occupational hygienists have provided the courts with independent and authoritative evidence over a uniquely wide range of areas in occupational health and safety. These include human factors, accident investigation, manual handling, upper limb disorders, dermatitis, asbestos related disease, other respiratory disease (from dusts, chemicals and fibres), cancer, latex allergy and occupational asthma.
We are also involved in indoor air quality issues with particular reference to passive smoking and occupational asthma in the leisure industry. We also provide expert witness evidence at Planning Inquiries in relation to noise and dust emissions from proposed roads, quarries and open cast mining sites.
