Landmark projects and reports
IOM scientists and consultants have written a number widely cited landmark reports and papers. These include;
- State-of-the-art science reports such as "ENRHES" (2010), for the European Commission (FP7), a comprehensive and critical scientific review of the health and environmental safety of fullerenes, carbon nanotubes (CNTs), metal and metal oxide nanomaterials.
- Landscaping reviews such as "EMERGNANO" (2009), for Defra, A review of completed and near completed environment, health and safety research on nanomaterials,
- Guidance documents such as BSI PD 6699-2 "Good practice guide to safe handling and disposal of engineered nanoparticles";
- Position papers such as "Safe Handling of Nanotechnology" (2006), Nature, Vol. 444, No. 7117, pp. 267-269.
